TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Bob Elliott will take his place in the Pac-12 Men's Basketball Hall of Honor on Friday in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Elliott, known as Big Bird during his playing days, is the 16th Wildcat to be enshrined since the conference started honoring a player annually from each of its schools.

The two-time All-American is the first UA player or coach solely from the program's era in the Western Athletic Conference to be selected to the Pac-12's Hall of Honor.

He joins his coach Fred Snowden who was inducted in 2015.

The Ann Arbor, Michigan native is UA's second all-time leading scorer (2,131) and rebounder (1,083) and the 25 rebounds he grabbed in a 1974 game against rival Arizona State still stands as the most ever by a Wildcat in a single contest.
