NORTHRIDGE, CA - Fifth-ranked Arizona softball outscored its opponents 28-0 while allowing two total base runners over a doubleheader sweep on Saturday at Matador Diamond at the CSUN/LMU Tournament.
Michelle Floyd threw the ninth perfect game in Arizona history in an 18-0 five-inning victory over Hartford before Nancy Bowling tossed a two-hit shutout vs. Cal State Bakersfield in an 8-0, six-inning UA victory.
The Wildcats improved to 22-1 on the season with the two victories.
The perfect game for Floyd was UA's first since April 24, 2010 (Kenzie Fowler vs. Oregon State).
Arizona heads to Los Angeles for the final day of the CSUN/LMU Tournament, taking on LMU and Bryant on Sunday in a doubleheader beginning at 11 a.m. MST.
