TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Dante DeNiro went three-for-four with two runs-batted-in as Catalina Foothills socked five doubles in an 8-1 win over Mountain View in the Lancer Classic at Reid Park.

Falcons (5-5) starter Cole Altherr (2-1) struck out seven and allowed just two hits in four innings of work.

The Lions (4-6) will play Sahuarita on Thursday at 1 p.m. Catalina Foothills will also face the Mustangs in a 7 p.m. game while opening the day with a 1 p.m. tilt against Fort Collins (CO) Poudre.
