Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce represents AZ in D.C.

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Lea Marquez Peterson, president of the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is back in Tucson after a trip to Washington, D.C. 

She was part of the U.S Chamber of Commerce Summit.  

Marquez-Peterson said she was there making sure Arizona Hispanic business owners have a seat at the table.

"I was there to talk about trade with Mexico, the Affordable Care Act, and how it's not affordable for small business..." she said.

She stopped by Fox 11 Daybreak to tell us about her experience.

    The Fire Chief Joseph De Wolf with Sonoita-Elgin Fire District said the rain was a relief but not a reason to relax, as fire season starts to heat up in southern Arizona. He said conditions are monitored daily because they could change just as quickly.
