TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Chris Eggleston took the checkered flag Saturday night to win the NAPA 150 at Tucson Speedway.
The race was the season-opener for the K&N West Pro Series.
The event kicked off the NAPA 500 challenge which will entail three more races over the next seven days.
The drivers will now head to Bakersfield, California for a race on Thursday night, followed by Twin NAPA 100s at Irwindale Speedway on March 25, which will mark the first doubleheader in the history of the series.
Eggleston led for 80 of the races 150 laps.
Pole-sitter Todd Gilliland finished second.
Brandon Schilling was the top local driver finishing seventh. Schilling won both the Super Late Models and Late Models points championship at Tucson Speedway in 2017.
Tucson's Matt Levin finished 13th while Ron Norman took 14th.
