TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

One man is dead after a house fire on the south side.

According to Joe Gulotta with the Tucson Fire Department, firefighters responded to a home near 36th Street and La Cholla Boulevard just before midnight.

When they got there, the home was entirely engulfed in flames.

They were able to pull the man out, but he died shortly after arriving at a local hospital.

Firefighters are still working to find out if anyone else is in the home.

They have to wait for Tucson Electric to secure power lines before they can get inside.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.
