Double the Pac-12 honors for Cats' Harper

TUCSON, AZ -

Arizona freshman Jessie Harper was named Pac-12 Player and Pac-12 Freshman of the Week for the week of March 13-19, the Pac-12 announced on Tuesday. 

This is the second straight weekly honor for Harper, who was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week last week.

Over the last two weeks, Harper is 18-for-34 (.529) with five doubles, five homers and a 1.177 slugging percentage.

The Stevenson Ranch, Calif., native is hitting .380 on the season with a team-high eight doubles, 10 home runs and 28 RBI.

Harper is tied for the Pac-12-lead with 10 home runs on the season, which are 10th in the country and second most among freshmen.

The fifth-ranked Wildcats host sixth-ranked Washington in a marquee Pac-12 matchup this Friday-Sunday at Hillenbrand Stadium. 

The Cats and the Huskies kick off the series on Friday at 5 p.m. on the Pac-12 Networks.
