Balanced effort tunes up #9 Arizona Baseball for Beavers

The 9th ranked Arizona Wildcats jumped out to a lead over New Mexico State on Tuesday night at Hi Corbett Field and never looked back in a 6-3 victory in front of 3,242 fans.

The Cats (16-4) improve to 12-0 at home this season.

Kyle Lewis drove in three runs for UA. Cory Voss had a two-run double. Alfonso Rivas went two-for-four at the plate.

Cody Deason (1-0), who started on the mound and went 3 2/3 scoreless innings, earned his first win of the season.

Michael Flynn tossed 2 2/3 hitless innings in relief to earn his first save of the year.

Jonathan Groof (2-3) took the loss for the Aggies (13-9), allowing fours (two earned) in five innings.
   
Arizona will now head to Corvallis, Oregon this weekend to take on top-ranked Oregon State.
