Police Chief Michael Ford said the call came in around 3:15 p.m. and they don't believe the shooting happened in the same area the man was found.

Ford said the incident may have started as an altercation between people in two vehicles. He said there were no vehicles in the area when officers arrived.

"Right now, we don’t have any solid vehicle descriptions," Ford said.

There are no traffic restrictions or road closures.

Anyone with information is asked to call 88-CRIME or 911.
