A Silver Alert has been canceled after a missing Tucson woman was found dead Monday morning, authorities said.

The Tucson Police Department said Ramilda Guglielmo, 87, went missing Sunday morning in the area of Grant Road and Silverbell Road.

The TPD said Guglielmo, who had dementia, was last seen around 10:30 a.m. when she drove to a drug store in the area. She left the store but did not return to her car.

Arizona DPS said Guglielmo's body was found in a desert area about 2 miles from the store.
