Spring Court Night event offering free legal information

PIMA COUNTY, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Local lawyers will be offering free legal information in civil and family law, during the semiannual Court Night event sponsored by the Superior Court in Pima County and the Pima County Bar Association.

According to a recent release, the event will be held Thursday, March 30 at the Ellie Towne Flowing Wells Community Center (1660 West Ruthrauff Road).

There will be two sessions offered. The first will be from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and the second will start at 5:45 p.m and go to 7:15 p.m. Those who attend will be able to choose from one of three different topic areas during each session - Divorce/Child Support; Probate/Guardianship/Conservatorship and Debtor/Creditor, Landlord/Tenant. 

Lawyers will be on hand to take questions from the audience, though they will not be able to provide individualized legal advice or to discuss specific cases. 

Also available during the event will be the Office of the State Attorney General, Child Support Division, to answer any questions regarding the ins and outs of child support modification and enforcement.  There will also be resource tables hosted by the Superior Court, Office of the Clerk of Court, and Pima County Bar Association.

Additionally, representatives from the court’s Law Library will be available, offering information and instruction on use of the court’s 24/7 website, which includes access to do-it-yourself forms and links to resources and legal research databases.
