Tucson, AZ (KOLD) - Wildcat associate head coach Joe Pasternack is in the running for the head coach position at North Carolina Wilmington, a job that opened when Kevin Keatts filled the North Carolina State opening.
KOLD's Raycom sister station WECT confirmed the news.
Monday, the interim head coach Takayo Siddle resigned. At least one more assistant from North Carolina is supposed to interview for the position.
Pasternack was also reportedly in discussions with Cal about the Golden Bears job where he spent 8 years as an assistant but obviously that didn't pan out. He's been on Sean Miller's staff since 2011. Prior to that he was head coach of the University of New Orleans.
