A title, runner-up finish and 11 appearances in the Elite Eight.

Legends like Lute Olson, Sean Elliott, Mike Bibby, Damon Stoudamire and Steve Kerr.

Arizona basketball has been known as a premier program for a while.

The Wildcats now have another claim to fame -- a top-10 spot on the Associated Press' all-time Top 100 list.

Arizona was ranked eighth on AP's list, which was released Wednesday, March 29.

The AP said Arizona has appeared in 45.41 percent of its polls since the rankings began in January 1949.

For its all-time rankings, AP awarded one point for every week a team was ranked, and two points for every week a team was ranked No. 1.

Kentucky took the No. 1 spot and was followed by North Carolina, Duke, UCLA, Kansas, Indiana and Louisville.

Arizona State was ranked No. 79 overall.
