SIERRA VISTA, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Thanks in large part to the many military families who have been drawn here by Fort Huachuca, people from all over the world call Sierra Vista home.

This wide range of ethnic and cultural backgrounds will be shared with the community on Saturday, April 8, during the City’s annual Cultural Heritage Celebration at Buena High School from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Hosted in conjunction with the City’s Commission on Cultural Diversity, this free public event will offer a variety of exhibits, ethnic cuisine, and multi-cultural entertainment throughout the day. There is no charge of admission and food and refreshments will be available for sale.

Each year this event inspires dozens of local residents to share traditions, clothing, food, music, and dance from their native lands. This year, about 30 countries will be represented at the celebration.

For more information about the event, contact Chris Swan at (520) 439-2300.
