The Arizona Wildcats are set for their first conference home series of the season at Hi Corbett Field.
Arizona (17-7, 2-4) will battle USC in a three-game series, starting Friday night.
The WIldcats, ranked in the Top 20 in all five major polls, opened a five-game homestand Wednesday against Grand Canyon with a 3-2 win.
Junior first baseman JJ Matijevic leads the Pac-12 in hits and is second in the country with 15 doubles on the season.
He's batting .390 on the season, second best on the team to Alfonso Rivas (.395).
Junior Jared Oliva leads the team with four home runs and is batting .355 on the season. His 32 RBI top the conference.
The Trojans (15-8, 4-2) have won each of its first two conference series, topping Washington State and Arizona State at home.
USC has won three straight series against Arizona, winning two of three last year and sweeping the Cats in 2014 and 2015.
Arizona leads the Pac-12 in runs scored with 220 and USC is second in the league at 126.
Offensively for the Trojans, they've been paced by Lars Nootbaar, who is batting .338 with four home runs and 21 RBI.
Pitching wise, reliever Bruce Dyrda has yet to give up a run in 17 1/3 innings out of the bullpen and has struck out 26, while giving up just nine hits.
Friday night's game begins at 7 p.m. Tucson time with first pitch on Saturday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.
