Police identify suspect in south-side stabbing

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Police have identified a suspect who they said allegedly stabbed a man Sunday afternoon, April 2, at the Laos Transit Center in Tucson, according to Tucson police Sgt. Kimberly Bay.

TPD said 41-year-old Ernesto Seiler allegedly stabbed a man after the two appeared to have an argument. Police provided first aid to the victim until paramedics arrived at the scene.

The victim suffered life-threatening injuries but is in stable condition at the hospital.

Seiler was taken into custody without incident. He is charged with aggravated assault and possession of marijuana.

The cause of the altercation is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call 88-CRIME.
