BERKELEY, CA - Fourth-ranked Arizona completed the sweep of California on Sunday, falling one run shy shutting out the Golden Bears for the weekend with a 6-1 victory to close out the series at Levine-Fricke Field.
It's the Cats (37-2, 9-0) third straight conference sweep, bringing their winning streak to 22 games.
Danielle O'Toole (19-1) picked up the win tossing 3.1 perfect innings to open the game, allowed one run on five hits with three strikeouts and no walks in the outing.
Cal's run in the fifth inning denied Arizona of its first shutout conference road weekend in a quarter of a century.
Jessie Harper homered again for the Wildcats, her second of the weekend and Pac-12-lead-tying 12th of 2017. Her three-run homer was the big blow for the UA offense, which plated its six runs on eight hits.
Arizona returns home to host Stanford for a three-game series at Hillenbrand this Friday-Sunday.
