New U of A president to be highest paid in school history

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The Arizona Board of Regents has released a copy of the contract for new president Dr. Robert C. Robbins.   

According to the contract Dr. Robbins will receive an annual compensation that totals $988,000. The three-year contract breaks done to the following: 

  • Annual salary - $600,000
  • Yearly allowances for housing - $70,000; vehicle - $10,000
  • Pension contributions - $108,000 a year
  • $200,000 in private funds from the UA Foundation for an Endowed Presidential Leadership Chair

Dr. Robbins contract is to be voted on by the Arizona Board of Regents at an upcoming meeting April 6 - 7.  He will replace outgoing UA President Ann Weaver Hart, whose compensation totals $670,000 a year.
