SVPD assists federal agents with kidnapping arrest

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Two men, one a resident of Sierra Vista were arrested on Tuesday, April 4 by Homeland Security Investigations and Federal Bureau of Investigation agents, with assistance from the Sierra Vista Police Department, according to a recent release. 

Both 40-year-old Brian Meyers and 25-year-old Dreck Tessman had been under surveillance by the federal agents in the 100 block of North Garden Avenue. According to the SVPD release the two men were seen traveling through a commercial parking lot where they were taken into custody at gunpoint around 7 p.m. Tuesday night. 

According to the release officials suspected the men were carrying drugs, and after a search both were found to have heroin in their possession.

Meyers was booked into Cochise County Jail on charges of kidnapping, while Tessman, a resident of Sierra Vista faces charges connected to possession of a narcotic drug.
