Mutton bustin' & bull riding return to Old Tucson

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Looking for a rodeo fix and February is too far away?  Just head on out to Old Tucson for Little Britches and Big Cowboys on April 22 and 23.

The event is hosted by Old Tucson, the Arizona Sonora Western Heritage Foundation and Casino del Sol Resort and will feature mutton bustin for kids aged 3 to 6 years old. There will also be bull riding for the older crowd.

The event will run from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. both days, according to an Old Tucson release.  Registration for mutton bustin' will begin at 3 p.m. and is $5 per child.  Mutton bustin' will begin at 3:30 p.m., with bull riding following from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. All contestants receive a commemorative t-shirt. Limited to 25 participants each day.

Winners will be announced each day.

It will be $10 to enter Old Tucson to watch just the rodeo alone, but it is included in the regular park admission of $18.95 for adults and $10.95 for kids aged 4 years old to 11 years old, and free for kids aged 3 years old and under.
