Marana police arrest bike theft suspects

MARANA, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Marana police have arrested two suspects in connection with the theft of two children's bikes on April 9.

According to police, 21-year-old Johnathan Patrick Wilber and 20-year-old Brittany Rayann Silverman were booked into the Pima County Jail for theft and unrelated warrants they had for their arrest.

Police said tips from the public helped police identify the suspects from surveillance photos.

The stolen bikes were not recovered.

    A teenage boy has been arrested for allegedly making a threat against Queen Creek High School. On Friday, May 19, the 16-year-old Queen Creek High School student was booked into the Maricopa County Southeast Juvenile Facility.

    Buena High School, in the Sierra Vista Unified School District, was spray painted sometime over the weekend, according to district officials. They believe the graffiti happened some time between midnight Sunday, May 21 and 2 a.m. Monday, May 22.

    In addition to the arrests, nine people appeared in Marana Municipal Court voluntarily to take care of their warrants when they learned police officers were trying to find them.
