TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A deadly shooting on the northwest side leaves one man dead and another recovering from serious injuries.

This all broke out in a neighborhood east of Thornydale between Orange Grove and Ina.

When deputies arrived, they found 21-year-old Jaisaac Sloan and 20-year-old Austin Bruckshaw with gunshot wounds. Sloan was pronounced dead at the scene, while Bruckshaw was transported to Banner University Medical Center with serious injuries.

Tucson News Now received a photo of Jaisaac Sloan, the 21-year-old killed in Monday's NW side shooting from his grandmother.  According to her Sloan didn't live in Tucson, and had only been visiting when the shooting happened.

According to a PCSD release, deputies learned the victims were in a camper trailer with other people when the shooting took place. The suspect pulled a gun from a backpack and began to fire.

The suspected shooter was injured as well during the incident and checked himself into a hospital, according to the PCSD release.

The shooting happened at a home in the cul-de-sac near Starshine and Amber Terrace. PCSD Homicide detectives have been out here since 4 p.m. when the call of shots fired came in.

The motive in this deadly shooting is still under investigation.

Neighbors we spoke to say they heard the gun shots and are too shaken up to talk on camera.
