Champion heads back to The Octagon

TUCSON, AZ -

Combate Americas brings a stellar, 12-bout fight card to the Casino del Sol this Thursday night.

The card will be headlined by a bantamweight (135 pounds) showdown between decorated veteran Roman “El Gallito” Salazar (10-5-1) of Scottsdale and knockout artist Ricky “El Gallero” Palacios (7-1) of Mission, Texas. 

Welterweight (170 lbs) Joel Champion (4-0) leads a list of Southern Arizona fighters who will step into The Octagon.

Champion fights out of APEX MMA under the tutelage of Joey “Boom Boom” Rivera.

Also in action will be welterweights Benny “El Hijo” Madrid (9-3) of Phoenix, Chad Dietmeyer (8-1) of Tucson, Andy “The Golden Boy” Perez (7-3) of Tucson, bantamweight Randy Steinke (17-10) of Payson and flyweights (125 pounds) Joel Rascon (2-1) of Tucson, Jose Palencia, Jr. (1-1) of Tempe and Arturo Guzman (0-1) of Tucson.
