One person suffers life-threatening injuries in single-vehicle crash

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A person was seriously injured Thursday morning, April 20, in a single-vehicle accident near Reid Park, authorities said.

Sgt. Kim Bay, spokeswoman for the Tucson Police Department, said the accident happened near East 22nd Street and South Lakeshore Lane.

Bay said the driver hit a pole and suffered life-threatening injures.

The Tucson Fire Department's Technical Rescue Team had to extricate the driver.

Drivers should avoid the area near Reid Park. One westbound lane was closed.
