Tucson man convicted of sexual conduct and molestation

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A jury convicted Norman Burt Beverly of one count of sexual conduct with a minor under 15 and one count of child molestation on Friday, April 14. 

This new conviction comes after Beverly was charged with two counts of sexual conduct with a minor under fifteen and two counts of child molestation in 2000, within a year of the original charges he fled to Mexico where he remained for 15 years.  In 2015 he was arrested and brought back to Tucson to stand trial.

His sentencing hearing is scheduled for May 12, in the Pima County Superior Court.
