Marana school increases security after 'unsubstantiated' threat

MARANA, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Marana police assigned officers to Marana Middle School on Friday, April 28, after a threat was made against the school.

According to a letter sent to parents, the Marana Police Department investigated the threat at the campus at 11285 W. Grier Road and determined there was no valid threat.

The letter from Principal Heather Pletnick said there was no disruption to the school routine.
