SB: The spark on Saturday belonged to the Sun Devils

Arizona dropped the second game of their three-game series at Hillenbrand, 5-2, to the visiting Sun Devils.

UA managed just two runs off Giselle "G" Juarez, who struck out seven in the complete-game six hitter.

Taylor McQuillin took the loss for Arizona to fall to 15-2 on the season. McQuillin allowed five runs, four earned, on six hits with 11 strikeouts and three walks.

Arizona State hit solo homers in the second and sixth innings, but the majority of the production came on a fly ball that fell in and scored three runs in the fourth.

Arizona got on the board with a two-run homer by Katiyana Mauga, her 22nd of the year. Mauga, with 89 career homers, is now one shy of tying the Pac-12 record.

UA brought the tying run to the plate with one out in the seventh, but a pair of groundouts ended the game.

The teams wrap up the series on Sunday at 5 p.m. MST for senior night.
