TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - As fans, former players and practically everyone in southern Arizona share support, frustration or speculation about the news surrounding Sean Miller, the Arizona Board of Regents released a statement Saturday evening.
The statement from ABOR Chairman Bill Ridenour was released a little more than an hour before Arizona's game against Oregon.
The board met in executive session to discuss legal advice and intends to meet again, according to Ridenour's statement.
He wrote that ABOR has confidence in UA President Dr. Robert Robbins to handle the situation appropriately. The statement reads in part:
"This is an emotionally charged issue but it is essential that we move forward decisively and based on facts. We must do everything we can to ensure that our programs are of the highest caliber as we must also protect the rights of all involved and respect due process for employees."
The complete statement can be read here.
