Carjacking at the Pima County Jail

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The Tucson Police Department is responding to the Pima County Jail at 1270 West Silverlake Road on the report of a carjacking. 

According to Sgt. Kim Bay, spokeswoman for the TPD, a person was carjacked at knife point by a Hispanic male.  

There was not a child in the car, nor was anyone injured according to Sgt. Bay.  

The suspect, considered armed and dangerous, is in a dark blue Chevy Avalanche with Arizona license plate BTX5114.  

Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
