SIERRA VISTA, AZ (Tucson News Now) - The president of the Parent Teacher Student Organization at Joyce Clark Middle School, Sara Cottem-Dalton is facing charges for felony theft of funds, according to the Sierra Vista Police Department.

SVPD began its investigation into the case on Feb. 16, when they received information about the possible embezzlement of PTSO funds at the school. According to a SVPD news release, investigators learned that more than $4,000 had been reported missing and was unaccounted for from the PTSO account between December 2017 and January 2018.  Investigators learned that the PTSO's debit card was the primary means used to conduct the internal theft.
