TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - A fire in a midtown building briefly caused Tucson police to close part of a road in the area on Thursday morning, March 1.

Authorities say the fire was in a former restaurant. Paramedics evaluated a man who was sleeping in the building, but he refused further treatment. He is expected to be OK.

Westbound lanes of West Grant Road were closed because of the incident near North Balboa Avenue, which is east of North Oracle Road.

No further information about the fire was immediately available.
