Warrant issued for Tucson woman convicted of felony criminal damage, DUI

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Last week, a jury convicted a Tucson woman of DUI, for driving while impaired and criminal damage, according to the Pima County Attorney's Office.

Andrea Lynn Tellez failed to show for the trial and a warrant has been issued for her arrest.

According to the PCAO Tellez had been driving and attempting to merge onto the freeway at Palo Verde Road on Oct. 31, 2015, when she went off-road, drove through the desert and hit a truck.  According to the release the truck Tellez hit was totaled, but the woman and her children inside the truck were not injured.

Officers arrived at the scene and found Tellez staggering, drowsy and argumentative according to the release. She then performed poorly on field sobriety tests.

Anyone with knowledge of her whereabouts is asked to call 88-CRIME, they can remain anonymous.
