PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -

Phoenix police are investigating a fatal shooting at the light rail station at 19th and Glendale avenues

According to Sgt. Alan Pfohl with the Phoenix Police Department, it all started when two men crossed the street, which caused drivers to quickly put on their brakes.

After they crossed, witnesses said the pair started yelling at traffic. One of them ran toward a driver and "aggressively approached the driver's door," Pfohl said.

The 32-year-old driver shot the 29-year-old man who is identified as Ramon Packineau, Pfohl said.

Packineau died at the scene.

The shooter stayed there and was released after talking with police, pending the remainder of the investigation, Pfohl said.

No identities have been released.
