TUCSON, AZ - The Tucson Police Department identified the pedestrian who was hit and killed when a person driving an SUV crashed the McDonald's on Tanque Verde and Grant on Saturday.

Barbara Angiolini, 54, was standing on the sidewalk before the crash, according to an update Saturday night from TPD.

The release stated the the driver was headed north on Kolb when he lost control, hopped the curb, hit Angiolini, crashed through a fence and finally stopping as it slammed into the restaurant.

The driver and passenger were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, according to TPD. The release stated three McDonald's customers inside were treated for minor injuries at the scene of the crash.

The crash closed parts of the busy intersection for several hours.

Speed is believed to be a factor in this crash, according to the nighttime update from police. No citations have been issued as of Saturday.
