TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - The Arizona Department of Transportation is reminding drivers about several restrictions on Interstate 10 that begin Monday, March 12.
The first restriction is westbound I-10 at Wilmot Road. According to ADOT I-10 in that area will be reduced to one lane, as the left lane will be closed, beginning at 8 p.m. Monday and going until 5 a.m. Thursday, March 15. There is a 14-foot restriction in place, this means all vehicles that are wider than 14 feet must use the frontage roads between Valencia and Kolb Roads.
Restrictions will also be taking place along I-10 further east of Tucson, between Dragoon and Johnson Roads east of Benson at the Texas Canyon Rest Area, according to ADOT. The following will be in place:
- Westbound I-10 will be reduced to one lane (right lane will be closed) at milepost 319 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, March 12.
- Eastbound I-10 will be reduced to one lane (right lane will be closed) at milepost 317 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13 and Wednesday, March 14.
- Eastbound I-10 will be reduced to one lane (right lane will be closed) at milepost 321 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 15.
Vehicles are restricted to 14-foot width limit.
Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
