HOOPS: Pima men going back to Nationals

The Pima Community College men’s basketball team is heading back to Danville, IL for the NJCAA Division II National Tournament.

The Aztecs (28-4) claimed its second straight Region I, Division II title on Friday beating No. 1 Phoenix College 73-70.

Sophomore Ilunga Moise (Raymond S. Kellis HS) had four big points down the stretch for PCC.

Sophomore Keven Biggs (Cienega HS) was named the game’s Most Valable Player after he hit six 3-pointers and scored a team-high 26 points.

The NJCAA Division II Tournament will be held on Mar. 20-24 in Danville, IL.
