TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Prom season is here... and the right outfit can make the evening. That includes the right gown -- but not everybody can afford it.
Young ladies had their choice of more than 1,500 free gowns at the Tucson Jewish Community Center as part of Prom-O-Rama, put on by Cinderella's Closet.
"We give away free prom dresses, the Goodwill Boutique gives away free shoes and accessories and we also have door prizes that they can win. Some hair certificates, restaurants, Roses and More, lots of great stuff," said Cinderella's Closet co-founder Melissa Tureaud. "Just to see the girls faces and mom really excited to know that her daughter can go to prom for free without paying anything."
Cinderella's Closet takes donations year round.
