Woman sentenced to probation in 2017 kidnapping case

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The woman accused of kidnapping her three children from a Tucson-area home in July 2017 has been sentenced to three years of probation.

According to a spokeswoman for the Pima County Superior Court, Bedajii Harnesberry was charged with three counts of custodial interference, domestic violence.

Harnesberry was arrested near Globe early on July 11. An Amber Alert had been issued the previous afternoon. 

Authorities say Harnesberry, who was 33 at the time of her arrest, abducted her children from her mother's home in Pima County. Harnesberry's mother, the children's grandmother, has full legal custody of the children.

When arrested, Harnesberry was with her three children and two other children.
