TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Chicago Music Store owner Mark Levkowitz woke up to terrible news this morning.

Levkowitz said his store on the corner of Broadway and Sixth Avenue was the target of theft and vandalized sometime between Thursday night and Friday morning.

Levkowitz told Tucson News Now that investigators said a suspect, or suspects, crawled up a building next door to access a crawl space before breaking into the store.

According to Levkowitz, the suspect or suspects then rappelled down through the ceiling, leaving dust and debris everywhere

Levkowitz said several instruments, including violins and collectibles, were vandalized.

Five accordions worth a total of $30,000 were stolen, according to Levkowitz.

The owner is offering a $1,000 reward for any information that leads to arrests.
