STOCKTON, CA -

Conor Garland came clutch with a goal in the final four minutes of the third period Saturday night to give Tucson a 2-1 win over Stockton and a sweep of the two-game weekend series.

Roadrunners forward Michael Bunting scored in the first period with an assist from all-star rookie Dylan Strome who now has 50 points this season.

In his return to the Roadrunners following his first NHL win, Adin Hill backstopped the team’s victory, stopping 26-of-27 shots.

Both teams came up empty on the power play. Tucson went 0-for-3 and the Heat (29-22-2-4) failed on two chances.

The Roadrunners (34-18-4-1) head home to face San Jose on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
