Arizona put up an impressive start to the outdoor track and field season this weekend at the Willie Williams Classic
Tyrell Johnson took first place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.41, good for a new PR.
The men and women’s 4x400 teams both took first place honors in the Willie Williams Classic.
The ladies squad of Tatum Waggoner, Karolina Pahlitzsch, Brena Andrews, and Katelin Warren clocked a time of 3:39.29.
The men’s lineup of Zakee Washington, Makisms Sincukovs, David Egbo, and Umajesty Williams finished with a mark of 3:09.79.
Karolina Pahlitzsch took first place honors in the 800-meter dash with a time of 2:08.27.
Collins Kibet tabbed a first place finish in the men’s 800-meter dash clocking a time of 1:49.38.
Aleah Hurst earned first place honors in the triple jump, setting a new PR after clearing 12.53m.
Addi Zerrenner clocked a time of 16:57 to take first in the 5K. On the men’s side, Hunter Davila earned first place honors.
Freshman Kealyn Shipley won first place honors in the javelin throw with a mark of 47.59m. Erik Mensendiek took first on the men’s side with a mark of 62.32m.
Bryant O’Georgia took first place in the high jump discipline after clearing 2.06m.
Up next, the Cats will travel to San Diego, Calif. to compete in the Aztec Invite on Friday, March 23rd.
