Instagram post by Sierra Vista teens sparks PD response

SIERRA VISTA, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Two teenagers were the subject of a police investigation Monday morning due to a concerning social media post.

Sierra Vista Police officers responded to reports of an Instagram photo posted by two Buena High School students around 8:45 a.m. this morning, showing them holding a rifle on the school's campus. 

When police arrived, the rifle was determined to be a non-firing replica. 

According to a news release, the juveniles were referred for disorderly conduct and released to their parents.
