Small businesses in Sahuarita and Green Valley will get a chance to learn how to improve and grow, and win $4,000 in the town’s second annual Energize, Develop, Grow, Excel (EDGE) Competition.
A kickoff meeting will take place on Thursday, April 5, from 5-6 p.m. at the Rancho Sahuarita Clubhouse, 15455 S. Camino Lago Azul. Lu Alvarez, of Copper Fitness, will speak about his experience with last year’s competition.
The meeting is open to established small businesses that are looking to propel their business to the next level. This competition will help foster economic growth and the entrepreneurial spirit in the Sahuarita and Green Valley area.
Over the course of several months, the selected finalists will participate in 23 required hours of free workshops: Profit Mastering, Access to Capital, and Franklin Covey (Strategic Planning).
These classes will be facilitated by the Small Business Development Center (SBDC). Once the required workshops are completed, finalists will pitch their business growth ideas to a panel of judges “Shark Tank” style at the BizEDGE Competition in November for the chance to win $4,000.
Interested businesses owners in the Sahuarita and Green Valley area should contact Michael Jansen at firstname.lastname@example.org or 520-822-8819.
