PIMA COUNTY, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A couple has been accused of pointing a rifle at people walking in the March for Our Lives rally in Sahuarita, Arizona on Saturday, March 24.

The Sahuarita Sun said William and Victoria Cornett were arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and recklessly handling or displaying a weapon.

A Sahuarita Police Department spokesman told the newspaper people walking in the rally said a truck passed them twice and the driver and passenger took turns pointing a rifle at them.

The SPD said the Cornetts admitted to doing it but claim the weapon was not loaded and said they were trying to make a statement.
