Tomey Headlines So. AZ Coaches Clinic

Tucson, AZ (KOLD) - Former Wildcat football coaching great Dick Tomey has partnered with Pima Community College to headline the Southern Arizona Coaches Institute football clinic Saturday, March 31st.

The clinic will be held at Pima's West Campus inside their Center for the Arts and, according to Tomey, will be unlike anything he's ever taken part in. Instead of focusing on the X's and O's of play-making, the clinic will teach coaches from youth to high school how to teach the fundamentals of the game.

Coaches from the NFL, college, and high school are expected to participate including the New York Jets' Jeff Hammerschmidt, former Army coach Rich Ellerson, and Ironwood Ridge's Matt Johnson.

Doors open at 7:00 a.m. The clinic begins at 8:00 a.m. Registration is $30.00 and includes breakfast and lunch.
