TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - It's been nearly a year since Tucson police revealed a shocking update in the Isabel Celis case, and detectives are still searching for answers.

Chief Chris Magnus announced in a news conference last March that her remains had been found in rural Pima County.

Magnus did not say how long the remains were in that location but he did say they were not found by accident.

Magnus said he could not release information on any possible suspects and said he could not answer when asked if anyone was in custody during last March's press conference.

Since Celis disappeared almost six years ago, police have worked through more than 2,200 leads.

She was six years old when she was last seen in April of 2012.

Magnus said investigators still long for information in the case. If you know anything call 88-CRIME. You can remain anonymous.
