One person taken to hospital after residential fire on north west side

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Crews from Golder Ranch and Northwest Fire Districts responded to a house fire on the north west side early Sunday morning.

At around 7:30 a.m. fire crews responded to a report of a residential structure fire near Meredith Boulevard, GRFD said.

GRFD said three residents were home during the time of the fire. One person was transported to the hospital, the other two residents were not injured.

GRFD said one cat is missing as a result of the fire and another cat has been located.

The home sustained significant fire damage, GRFD said. A community resource team from NWFD is helping the residents with a place to stay.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
