Farrington and Doherty asserting control at Tucson Speedway

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - The cream is beginning to rise to the top over at Tucson Speedway as we are starting to see some dominant drivers take command of their divisions.

Saturday night was billed as Double Trouble and two drivers doubled down in the main events.

Reigning Super Late Models points champ Brandon Farrington won both 40-lap mains.

Farrington, who had four victories last season, has won all three races this season.

Not to be out done Farrington's Tucson Motorsports Inc. teammate Daniel Doherty won both of the Truck main events, giving him three victories in three races this season as well.

Doherty is reigning champion in the Truck division.

Both drivers were also Rookies of the Year last season at Tucson Speedway.

16-year old California-based driver Hailie Deegan ran in the Super Late Models race and finished fourth. She was in town testing out the track ahead of the K&N West Series race on May 5 which she will compete.
