TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Cyclovia Tucson is back this weekend and this year attendees will have something new to enjoy: an after party.

The party, which will be hosted by the Lost Barrio Shop owners, will feature live music, a beer garden, food trucks and activities. Proceeds from donations will benefit Living Streets Alliance.

The party will be on South Park Avenue from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Cyclovia Tucson is scheduled for Sunday, April 8, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. along 2.5 miles of residential streets extending from Himmel Park to the Lost Barrio Business District. The route passes through various neighborhoods and dozens of community groups, schools, businesses and organizations will be involved in the event that celebrates car-free, care-free streets.

A free presentation by Gil Peñalosa will begin the event at The Rialto Theatre at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 5. Peñalosa is billed as the pioneer of the worldwide "open streets"/ciclovia movement. Seating is limited, so reservations are recommended. More information can be found on the Living Streets Alliance website HERE.
