Hot Air Balloon makes emergency landing at Bloom Elementary

A hot air balloon made an unexpected landing around 8 a.m. Thursday morning at Bloom Elementary School located at 8310 E Pima St..

Video submitted by Tucson News Now viewer Thomas Boren shows the colorful balloon gliding past neighborhood rooftops and making a gentle landing in the school's large field.

According to Boren, the school administration came over the PA and announced that, "We've had an unexpected surprise landing by a hot air device. Do not leave your classroom a we are not staffed to handle it."

    The Marana Police Department is asking residents to stay vigilant after a string of car break-in's recently. The department is using the slogan, #LockitorLoseit, to remind residents to lock their cars doors, even if their neighborhoods are quiet and safe.
